The present invention relates to an article of footwear, shoes, running shoes or the like including a sole structure comprising a magnetic composite comprising a first non-magnetic material and a second magnetic material. The magnetic composite may comprise a plurality of magnetic particles embedded into a resilient material. Alternatively, the magnetic composite may comprise at least a first and a second layered assembly forming a stack, each layered assembly comprising a first layer having a face covered by a second layer made of a magnetic material presenting a same external magnetic pole, the magnetic layer of the first layered assembly facing the magnetic layer of the second layered assembly creating as such a magnetic force between the two layered assemblies. The magnetic sole allows enhanced rebound properties of the footwear article.
