Refrigerator or freezer apparatus preferably of the household type, equipped with at least a hermetic reciprocating compressor provided with a brushless-type electric driving motor and electronic frequency control arrangement adapted to operate said motor at a plurality of different pre-selectable RPMs, wherein said compressor is provided with a protection feature constituted by a minimum pre-selectablec RPM (Vmin) of said motor below which said control arrangement cuts off the operation of said motor. Furthermore, said control arrangement is adapted to select a motor RPM (Vmax) which is different from any pre-selectable RPM when said control arrangement is supplied with an external command or a particular combination of signals that are indicative of the operation of the refrigeration apparatus.
La présente invention concerne un réfrigérateur ou un congélateur, de préférence de type ménager. Celui-ci est équipé d'un compresseur alternatif scellé entraîné par un moteur électrique sans balais et d'un régulateur électronique de fréquence prévu pour faire fonctionner le moteur selon plusieurs vitesses de rotation présélectionnables. Ledit compresseur est pourvu d'un dispositif de protection constitué par une vitesse de rotation présélectionnable (Vmin) dudit moteur au-dessous de laquelle le régulateur arrête le fonctionnement dudit moteur. En outre, ledit régulateur est prévu pour sélectionner une vitesse de rotation du moteur (Vmax) différente de toutes les vitesses de rotation sélectionnables, dès lors que ledit régulateur reçoit une commande extérieure ou une combinaison particulière de signaux caractéristique du fonctionnement du réfrigérateur.
