4-19114/A/19115 Novel thiosemicarbazone derivatives Abstract The invention relates to novel thiosemicarbazones of formula I Image (I) wherein R1 is lower alkyl, lower alk-2-en-1-yl or lower alk-2-yn-1-yl, R2 and R3 independently of one another are hydrogen or lower alkyl, or R2 and R3 together are lower alkylidene, R4 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, aryl or aryl-lower alkyl, or the group -C(=O)-R6 wherein R6 is lower alkyl, aryl, heteroaryl, aryloxy, aryl-lower alkoxy or lower alk-2-en-1-yloxy, R5 is aryl, aryl-lower alkyl, unsaturated or saturated heterocyclyl-lower alkyl, lower alkoxycarbonyl-lower alkyl or the group -C(=O)-R7 wherein R7 is lower alkyl, aryl, aryl-lower alkyl, aryl-lower alkenyl, heteroaryl, aryloxy, aryl-lower alkoxy or lower alk-2-en-1-yloxy, or, when R4 is other than hydrogen, R5 may also be lower alkyl, lower alk-2-en-1-yl or lower alk-2-en-1-yl and to the salts thereof, to processes for the preparation of the said compounds, to pharma- ceutical compositions comprising them and to their use as active ingredients in medicaments.
