Pulse variable information is used to control at least obstacle detection and also, optionally, speed of movement of a movable barrier. In one embodiment, pursuant to a learning mode (50) the movable barrier is moved (51) and, while moving the movable barrier, at least one pulse variable that corresponds to movement of the movable barrier at a desired speed is measured (52) and used to determine at least one predetermined threshold that corresponds to a level of excessive force as exerted by the movable barrier. This threshold can then be used during an operating mode to facilitate detection of barrier obstacles.
On utilise une formation variable concernant une impulsion pour commander la détection d'obstacle, et éventuellement, la vitesse de déplacement d'une barrière mobile. Selon un mode de réalisation, restant en mode d'apprentissage, on assiste à un déplacement de la barrière, déplacement pendant lequel on mesure au moins une variable d'impulsion correspondant au déplacement de la barrière mobile à une vitesse voulue, et on se sert de cette mesure pour déterminer au moins un seuil défini correspondant à un niveau de force excessive exercée par la barrière mobile. Ce seuil peut ensuite être repris pendant un mode de fonctionnement pour faciliter la détection d'obstacles à la barrière.
