A system and method for managing enterprise assets located at geographically distributed sites utilizing wireless tag technologies. The method includes storing in a database information relating to each asset, wherein the stored information includes cost of each asset and cost of service for each asset. The method further includes tracking and storing information relating to servicing of the assets, including the cost of servicing. Information relating to the assets is then displayed to a user of the system.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé pour gérer les actifs d'une entreprise à l'aide de technologies faisant appel aux étiquettes sans fil, ces actifs étant situés sur des sites géographiquement dispersés. Le procédé selon l'invention consiste à stocker dans une base de données des informations relatives à chaque élément d'actif, les informations stockées contenant le coût de chaque élément d'actif et le coût d'entretien de chaque élément d'actif. Ledit procédé consiste en outre à suivre et à stocker des informations relatives à l'entretien des éléments d'actif, notamment le coût de l'entretien. Des informations relatives aux éléments d'actif sont ensuite affichées à l'intention d'un utilisateur du système.
