An animal feed that comprises a feedstuff and a coating, where the coating increases the amount of the feedstuff that passes through the rumen without being degraded by the rumen microflora, thereby delivering a larger portion of that feedstuff's associated preformed protein, and the essential amino acids comprising that protein, to the lower gastrointestinal tract. A process for making an animal feed, where the animal feed has enhanced rumen bypass nature of feed ingredients and their associated nutrients, particularly preformed protein and the amino acids that comprise the protein. Methods of increasing the rumen bypass of phosphatidylcholine, methods of increasing the vitamin E value of a feedstuff, methods for increasing rumen escape of the protein and amino acids in a ruminant animal.
L'invention concerne des aliments pour animaux comprenant un aliment et un enrobage, l'enrobage augmentant la quantité d'aliment qui passe à travers le rumen sans être dégradé par la microflore du rumen, ce qui permet qu'une plus grande partie de cette protéine préformée associée à l'aliment, ainsi que les acides aminés essentiels comprenant cette protéine, soit amenée vers le tractus gastro-intestinal inférieur. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication d'aliments pour animaux, ces aliments et les éléments nutritifs associés, et plus précisément la protéine préformée et les acides aminés comprenant cette protéine possédant une capacité améliorée à se soustraire au rumen. L'invention concerne encore des procédés permettant d'augmenter la capacité à se soustraire au rumen de la phosphatidylcholine, des procédés permettant d'augmenter la valeur en vitamine E d'aliments pour animaux, ainsi que des procédés permettant d'augmenter la capacité d'échapper au rumen de la protéine et d'acides aminés chez un ruminant.
