A trans-1,2-dichloroethylene blend which comprises a combination of a major amount of trans-1,2-dichloroethy-lene and a minor amount of a hydrohaloolefin having an elevated flash point is disclosed The combination exhibits a flash point significantly higher than trans-1, 2 -dichloroethylene alone The preferred hydrohaloolefin is 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene (HCFO-1233zd) The subject blends find application as heat transfer agents, propellents and sprayable compositions, blowing agents, solvents and cleaning agents.

L'invention concerne un mélange de trans-1,2-dichloroéthylène qui comprend une combinaison d'une quantité importante de trans-1,2-dichloroéthylène et d'une quantité réduite d'hydrohalo-oléfine présentant un point éclair élevé. La combinaison présente un point éclair significativement supérieur à celui du trans-1, 2 -dichloroéthylène seul. L'hydrohalo-oléfine est de préférence un 1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropène (HCFO-1233zd). Les mélanges précités sont utilisés comme agents de transfert thermique, agents propulseurs et compositions pulvérisables, agents de gonflants, solvants et agents de nettoyage.
