A cable barrier system including a cable-release anchor assembly, a terminal end section having at least one terminal post, the terminal post disposed adjacent to and spaced from the cable-release anchor assembly, and a length of need section having a plurality of line posts spaced from each other, each line post having an internal cavity and a slot formed along a sidewall extending downward from its top end. At least one cable having a terminal end is connected intention between the cable-release anchor assembly and the posts, the cable connected to the cable-release anchor proximate its terminal end. The cable is releasably connected to the terminal post and the line posts. The cable is releasably connected to the line posts by post-cable connectors. The post-cable connector includes an elongated section forming loops, the elongated portion is disposed substantially within the cavity and the loops extend through the slot to the exterior of the cavity. The cable is slidably disposed in the loop. Wherein when an object impacts and deforms one of the posts toward ground level the cable is released from the deformed post in a manner such that the cable tends to stay in contact with the object.
L'invention concerne un système de barrière de sécurité du type à câbles comprenant un ensemble d'ancrage à libération de câbles, une section d'extrémité terminale dotée d'au moins un poteau terminal, ledit poteau terminal étant disposé adjacent à l'ensemble d'ancrage à libération de câbles et espacé de celui-ci, et une section de longueur nécessaire possédant une pluralité de poteaux alignés espacés les uns des autres, chaque poteau aligné comprenant une cavité interne et une fente formée le long d'une paroi latérale s'étendant vers le bas à partir de son extrémité supérieure. Au moins un câble doté d'une extrémité terminale est connecté entre l'ensemble d'ancrage à libération de câbles et les poteaux, ledit câble étant connecté à l'ancre à libération de câbles proximale à son extrémité terminale. Ledit câble est connecté de manière libérable au poteau terminal et aux poteaux alignés, lesdits poteaux alignés étant connectés à l'aide de connecteurs de câble de poteau. Les connecteurs de câble de poteau comprennent une section allongée formant des boucles, la partie allongée étant placée sensiblement dans la cavité et les boucles s'étendant via la fente vers l'extérieur de ladite cavité. Le câble coulisse dans la boucle. Lorsqu'un objet frappe et déforme l'un des poteaux en direction du sol, le câble est libéré du poteau déformé de sorte que ledit câble tend à rester en contact avec cet objet.
