A water separator for a gas transmission system and including a cylindrical vessel having a front end wall defining a gas inlet, a rear end wall defining a gas outlet, and a bottom wall defining at least one water discharge opening; a tank disposed below the vessel and having at least one water entry opening communicating with the one discharge opening, and a water drain opening; and at least one solid baffle projecting transversely into and obstructing gas flow through an upper portion of the vessel, the baffle being substantially axially aligned with the gas inlet and substantially transversely aligned with the discharge opening.
Un séparateur d'eau pour un système de transport de gaz et comprenant une enceinte cylindrique qui comporte une paroi d'extrémité avant définissant une entrée de gaz, une paroi d'extrémité arrière définissant une sortie de gaz et une paroi inférieure définissant au moins une ouverture de décharge d'eau; un réservoir disposé au-dessous de l'enceinte et présentant au moins une ouverture d'entrée d'eau communiquant avec une ouverture de décharge et une ouverture d'évacuation d'eau; et au moins un déflecteur solide qui fait saillie transversalement et qui obstrue l'écoulement de gaz à travers une partie supérieure de la cuve, le déflecteur ayant un alignement sensiblement axial avec l'orifice d'entrée de gaz et un alignement sensiblement transversal avec l'ouverture de décharge.
