A seating piece of furniture has separately controllable air cells (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) which can be filled by means of an air pump (10). The volume of the air cells is adjustable by means of valves (V1, V2, V3, V4, V5). In order to create in a simple and cost-effective manner a seating piece of furniture with air cells which is comfortable and easy to operate, the valve has an adjusting element (21) which can be moved within the valve to a locking position, in which the air cell is locked with respect to the environment, to an emptying position, in which air can escape out of the air cell, and to a filling position, in which the air pump communicates with the air cell.
