The present invention describes a method (400), computer program product (200) and system (100) for executing a function of a data processing computer system (100). The function relates to an object (125). The method is performed by the steps of displaying a graphical representation of an object on a display device (120), receiving movement data (131) from an input device (130), identifying a matching movement pattern (221) that matches the cursor movement (121), which corresponds to the movement data, selecting a function (241) that relates to the matching movement pattern and the object and executing the function for the object. The identifying step can be performed by measuring the cursor movement as changes of the cursor coordinates (122 to 124) over time. The result is compared to a plurality (220) of predefined reference movement patterns. One movement pattern is selected out of the plurality of reference movement patterns as the matching movement pattern for said object.
La présente invention concerne un procédé (400), un programme informatique (200) et un système (100) permettant d'exécuter une fonction d'un système (100) informatique de traitement de données. Ladite fonction se rapporte à un objet (125). Ledit procédé comprend les étapes consistant à afficher une représentation graphique d'un objet sur un dispositif d'affichage (120), à recevoir des données de mouvement (131) d'un dispositif d'entrée (130), à identifier un mouvement type (221) correspondant qui correspond au mouvement de curseur (121), qui correspond aux données de mouvement, à sélectionner une fonction (241) qui se rapporte au mouvement type et à l'objet correspondants et à exécuter la fonction pour l'objet. On peut mettre en oeuvre l'étape d'identification en mesurant le mouvement du curseur étant donné que les changements du curseur sont coordonnés (122 à 124) dans le temps. Le résultat est comparé à une pluralité (220) de mouvements types de référence prédéterminés. Un mouvement type est sélectionné parmi la pluralité de mouvements types de référence pour faire office de mouvement type correspondant pour ledit objet.
