This invention is a disposable absorbent article (20) for wearing adjacent a body discharge area having a longitudinal centerline, and a lateral centerline orthogonal thereto; and defining longitudinal and lateral directions, respectively. The disposable absorbent article (20) comprises a liquid pervious topsheet (24), a backsheet (26) joined to said topsheet (24), and an absorbent core (28) intermediate the backsheet (26) and the topsheet (24). The absorbent core (28) comprises an expanding layer (46) for expanding the article (20) into a tridimensional structure while being worn by a user. The expanding layer (46) is activated by body fluids, and has a predetermined profile in Z direction in the dry state prior to use. The expanding layer (46) is capable, upon activation by body fluids, of expanding into the predetermined wet profile.
Article (20) absorbant jetable destiné à être porté à proximité directe d'une zone de sortie des fluides corporels. L'article comprend une ligne médiane longitudinale et une ligne médiane latérale qui est orthogonale à la ligne médiane longitudinale, ceci définissant respectivement des sens longitudinal et latéral. L'article (20) absorbant jetable comporte une feuille supérieure (24) perméable aux liquides, une feuille inférieure (26) reliée à la feuille supérieure (24) et une âme absorbante (28) située entre lesdites feuilles supérieure (24) et inférieure (26). L'âme absorbante (28) comprend une couche (46) de dilatation qui permet à l'article (20) d'adopter la forme d'une structure tridimensionnelle lorsqu'il est porté par un utilisateur ou une utilisatrice. La couche (46) de dilatation est activée par les fluides corporels et présente un profil prédéterminé dans le sens Z à l'état sec précédant l'utilisation. La couche (46) de dilatation est capable, lors de l'activation par des fluides corporels de se dilater pour adopter le profil prédéterminé à l'état humide.
