The present invention relates to a novel method for producing a compound of the formula [11] Image wherein R is an optionally substituted aromatic hydrocarbon group, an optionally substituted alicyclic hydrocarbon group, an optionally substituted heterocyclic group or an optionally substituted condensed heterocyclic group, which is useful as a therapeutic agent for diabetes. The method of the present invention is an industrially utilizable method that enables efficient production of the objective compound [11] from .beta.-methyl L-aspartate via an important intermediate compound [6] Image wherein R is as defined above, at high yield.

Procédé permettant de produire un composé à base d'iso-oxazolidinedione utile comme médicament anti-diabétique, de formule (11), dans laquelle R est un groupe hydrocarboné aromatique éventuellement substitué, un groupe hydrocarboné alicyclique éventuellement substitué, un groupe hétérocyclique éventuellement substitué ou un groupe hétérocyclique condensé éventuellement substitué. Le procédé, qui peut être industrialisé, consiste à utiliser le beta -méthyl-L-aspartate comme composé de départ afin de produire, avec un rendement élevé, le composé cible (11), via un composé de formule (6), dans laquelle R est tel que défini ci-dessus, qui est un intermédiaire important.
