The present invention provides an orthosis for stretching tissue around a joint of a patient between first and second relatively pivotable body portions. The orthosis includes a first member affixable to the first body portion and including a first extension member extending therefrom. A second member affixable to the second body portion is also included and has a second extension member having an arcuate shape extending therefrom. The second extension member is operatively connected to the first extension member and travels through the first extension member along an arcuate path when the second arm member is moved from a first position to a second position relative to the first arm member.
La présente invention concerne une orthèse servant à étirer un tissu autour d'une articulation d'un patient entre des première et seconde parties corporelles relativement pivotantes. L'orthèse comprend un premier élément fixable sur la première partie corporelle et pourvu d'un premier élément d'étirement s'étendant de cette partie, ainsi qu'un second élément fixable sur la seconde partie corporelle et pourvu d'un second élément d'étirement de forme arquée s'étendant de ladite seconde partie. Le second élément d'étirement est rattaché fonctionnellement au premier élément d'étirement et se déplace à travers le premier élément d'étirement le long d'une voie arquée, lorsque le second élément de bras est déplacé d'une première position à une seconde position par rapport au premier élément de bras.
