A user profile for use, for example in a personal numbering service, has an associated confidence value for each of the destination terminal numbers in the profile, a confidence value representing the confidence of a call being successfully answered at the associated network terminal. When a service using the profile needs to route a call for a user, the corresponding profile is accessed and the call is routed to the destination terminal number having the highest confidence value. The profile is managed to modify the confidence values in dependence upon the outcome of the call, and also upon registration of a personal number user at a network terminal. The confidence values are probabilities and when one value is increased because of a successful outcome, the other values are adjusted. The values can be a function of time to represent lessening confidence that a user is still at the network terminal of his last registration.
Un profil d'usager utilisable par exemple dans un service à numérotation personnelle, comporte un coefficient de confiance associée à chacun des numéros des postes de destination du profil, un tel coefficient de confiance représentant la confiance qu'il sera positivement répondu à un appel par le poste de réseau associé. Lorsqu'un service utilisant le profil désire acheminer un appel destiné un usager, on accède au profil correspondant puis l'appel est acheminé vers le numéro de poste de destination présentant le coefficient de confiance le plus élevé. Le profil est géré de manière à pouvoir modifier le coefficient de confiance en fonction du résultat de l'appel, et également en fonction de l'enregistrement d'un usager doté d'un numéro personnel par un poste du réseau. Les coefficients de confiance sont des probabilités et lorsque l'un d'eux croît, suite à un acheminement réussi, les autres coefficients sont réajustés. Lesdits coefficients peuvent être une fonction du temps représentant une réduction de la confiance qu'a un usager d'être encore au poste de réseau de son dernier enregistrement.
