Disclosed is an apparatus and method for controlling packet data transmission between a base station controller (BSC) and a base transceiver system (BTS) in a mobile communication network. The BSC transmits as much packet data as an amount that can be actually stored in a buffer of the BTS. The BTS has the buffer for temporarily storing the packet data, to be transmitted to a mobile station, received from the BSC.

La présente invention concerne un appareil et un procédé de contrôle de transmission de paquets de données entre un contrôleur de station de base (BSC) et une station d'émission-réception de base (BTS) dans un réseau de télécommunications mobile. Le BSC transmet autant de paquets de données qu'une quantité qui peut être effectivement stockée dans une mémoire tampon de la BTS. La BTS possède la mémoire tampon permettant de stocker temporairement les paquets de données, devant être transmis à une station mobile, reçus du BSC.
