An antimicrobial solution is provided for use in the cleaning of dentures and toothbrushes, as well as, for use as an oral mouthwash and/or a general disinfectant. The primary active ingredients of the present invention include an approximately 4.5% solution of hydrogen peroxide as an antibacterial agent and sodium lauryl sulfate as a cleansing agent. The present invention is mixed and maintained in liquid form. Additional ingredients are included to ensure the activation of the various antibacterial or cleansing agents. The present invention overcomes the problems with presently available denture cleansers because it does not require the use of hot, warm, or even cold water to activate the cleansing agent.

L'invention concerne une solution antimicrobienne utilisée pour nettoyer les prothèses dentaires et les brosses à dents, ou encore comme eau dentaire et/ou comme désinfectant général. Les principes actifs primaires de l'invention sont le peroxyde d'hydrogène qui sert d'agent antibactérien et le laurylsulfate de sodium qui sert d'agent nettoyant, leur combinaison représentant environ 4,5 % de la solution. La solution de l'invention est mélangée et maintenue sous forme liquide. D'autres composants sont ajoutés pour favoriser l'activation des divers agents antibactériens et nettoyants. De plus, contrairement aux nettoyants de prothèses actuellement disponibles, l'invention ne requiert pas l'utilisation d'eau chaude, d'eau tempérée ou même d'eau froide pour activer l'agent nettoyant.
