The invention concerns a process for polymerization or copolymerization of at least one monomer that is polymerizable or copolymerizable by radicular means, in the presence of a stable free radical and an iniferter. The presence of a stable free radical considerably changes the behaviour of the iniferter during polymerization or copolymerization, thereby reducing undesirable reactions considerably. Fast, high-yield polymerization or copolymerization in the presence of an iniferter is possible in order to produce a polymer or copolymer with reduced polydispersity and monomodal mass distribution.
L'invention concerne un procédé de polymérisation ou copolymérisation d'au moins un monomère polymérisable ou copolymérisable par voie radicalaire, en présence d'un radical libre stable et d'un iniferter. La présence du radical libre stable modifie considérablement le comportement de l'iniferter lors de la polymérisation ou copolymérisation, de sorte que des réactions indésirables sont fortement réduites. Il est possible de réaliser rapidement et avec un rendement élevé une polymérisation ou copolymérisation en présence d'un iniferter pour mener à un polymère ou copolymère à la polydispersité réduite et dont la distribution des masses moléculaires est monomodale.
