The present invention provides a semi-enclosed, substance delivery applicator comprising: (a) a three-dimensional structure having outermost surface features and spaces between the outermost surface features for containing a substance, the substance having a level internal to the outermost surface features such that the substance is protected from inadvertent contact with external surfaces, the three-dimensional structure forming at least a portion of a semi-enclosed applicator body having at least one opening and an internal cavity; and (b) a substance, having substantial resistance to flow prior to delivery to a target surface, occupying the spaces of the three-dimensional structure, the substance remaining protected until the three dimensional structure is sufficiently deformed into a substantially two dimensional structure and the substance is thereby exposed to contact a surface of an object without compliance of the surface being necessary, the substance having an effective viscosity upon activation which permits the substance to be liberated from the location and dispensed onto the surface of the object. The substance may be dispensed inwardly of the applicator, outwardly of the applicator, or both. The applicator may take the form of a glove or mitt.
La présente invention concerne un applicateur semi-ouvert d'apport de substances qui comprend: (a) une structure en trois dimensions possédant des éléments de surface extérieurs destinés à contenir une substance, cette substance ayant un niveau interne par rapport aux éléments de surface extérieurs qui permet de protéger ladite substance contre tout contact par inadvertance avec les surfaces externes, la structure en trois dimensions formant une partie au moins du corps d'applicateur semi-ouvert possédant au moins une ouverture et une cavité interne; et (b) une substance possédant une résistance sensible au flux en amont de l'apport à une surface cible, qui occupe les espaces de la structure en trois dimensions, la substance restant protégée jusqu'à ce que la structure en trois dimensions est suffisamment déformée pour se transformer en une structure en deux dimensions. La structure est ainsi exposée au contact avec une surface d'un objet, et ce sans que les surfaces soient obligatoirement compatibles; lors de l'activation, la substance possède une viscosité efficace qui permet à ladite substance de se libérer à partir de l'emplacement et d'être distribuée à la surface de l'objet. La substance peut être distribuée vers l'intérieur de l'applicateur, vers l'extérieur de l'applicateur ou encore dans les deux sens. L'applicateur peut avoir la forme d'un gant ou d'une mitaine.
