A method of fabricating a tall multi-stage work piece. A vertical shaft is provided extending below ground at a permanent fabrication facility. An elevator platform is provided in the shaft. The elevator platform is adapted to lower a work piece into and lift the work piece out of the shaft. At least one above ground work station is provided at the upper end of the shaft. A work piece is placed on the elevator platform. The elevator platform is then lowered as each stage of the work piece is completed, in order to maintain a desired working height for workers at the above ground work station. The elevator platform is raised and the work piece is removed from the elevator platform, when fabrication is complete.
La présente concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une pièce travaillée en hauteur sur plusieurs niveaux. Un puits vertical s'étend sous le sol dans une installation de fabrication permanente. Une plate-forme élévatrice est insérée dans le puits. La plate-forme élévatrice est adaptée pour abaisser une pièce travaillée dans le puits et en remonter une pièce travaillée. Au moins une station de travail au-dessus du sol est installée à l'extrémité supérieure du puits. Une pièce travaillée est placée sur la plate-forme élévatrice. Celle-ci est ensuite abaissée lorsque chaque étape de la pièce travaillée est terminée, afin de maintenir la hauteur de travail souhaitée pour les travailleurs à la station de travail au-dessus du sol. La plate-forme élévatrice est soulevée et la pièce travaillée est retirée de la plate-forme élévatrice lorsque la fabrication est terminée.
