The adaptor incorporates wrist movements, in the most ergonomic fashion to take control of a standard pointing device, a mouse. Traditionally pointing devices have been designed around finger operation, utilizing buttons, wheels, and tracking balls. Hand disabilities restrict many users from operating these devices. The ergonomics of a vertical handle accommodates the natural position of the hand, with the thumb facing upwards; which allows the wrist to move freely. With the hand resting comfortably the mouse can be maneuvered about, and with slightly wrist movements the adaptor can be transformed into a pointing device.
