The invention relates to agents that are used to improve optical properties such as opacity and/or brightness of dry products based on mineral matter containing said agents. More specifically, the invention relates to a method of producing dry products based on mineral matter, in which the agents used to improve the opacity and/or brightness of said dry products take the form of controlled-structure water-soluble polymers which are obtained using a controlled radical polymerisation method employing a particular alkoxyamine as a polymerisation initiator. The invention also relates to the use of aqueous suspensions and/or dispersions of mineral matter containing said polymers for the same purpose. The aforementioned dry products comprise plastics, filled paper, dry films produced by drying a coating slip, dry films produced by drying an aqueous paint formulation or dry films produced by drying an aqueous cosmetic formulation, which contain mineral matter as well as said polymers.
La présente invention concerne le secteur des agents permettant d'améliorer les propriétés optiques, telles que notamment l'opacité et / ou la brillance, de produits secs à base de matières minérales contenant lesdits agents. L'invention concerne l'utilisation dans un procédé de fabrication de produits secs à base de matières minérales, comme agents améliorant l'opacité et / ou la brillance desdits produits secs, de polymères hydrosolubles de structure contrôlée obtenus par un procédé de polymérisation radicalaire contrôlée mettant en AEuvre, en tant qu'amorceur de polymérisation, une alcoxyamine particulière. L'invention concerne aussi l'utilisation aux mêmes fins de dispersions et / ou de suspensions aqueuses de matières minérales contenant lesdits polymères. Les produits secs concernés sont soit des plastiques, soit des papiers chargés, soit des films secs résultant du séchage d'une sauce de couchage, des films secs résultant du séchage d'une formulation aqueuse de peinture, ou encore des films secs résultant du séchage d'une formulation aqueuse cosmétique, et qui contiennent des matières minérales ainsi que lesdits polymères.
