A needleless jet injection device including a barrel (1) fitted with a cap (3) at one (4) of the ends thereof (4, 5). Relative motion of the cap components actuates a setting device (2) operably connected to a percussive member. A cartridge (28) arranged at the other end (5) of the barrel (1) comprises two elements (49, 50), i.e. a first element (49) forming a container for the active principle, and a second element (50) consisting of a plastic shell enclosing said first element (49).
