A composition is disclosed suitable for the prevention and/or treatment of disorders due to abnormal lipid metabo- lism, such as hypercholesterolaemia, atherosclerosis, hyperlipidaemia and obesity, and which can therefore take the form of a dietary supplement or of an actual medicine, comprising as characterising active ingredients: (a) propionyl L-carnitine or a pharmacologi- cally acceptable salt thereof, and (b) chitosan or its derivatives and congeners.
L'invention concerne une composition utilisée dans la prévention et/ou le traitement de troubles dus à un métabolisme lipidique anormal, tels que l'hypercholestérolémie, l'athérosclérose, l'hyperlipidémie et l'obésité, et qui peut donc prendre la forme d'un supplément alimentaire ou d'un médicament, comprenant comme principes actifs caractéristiques: (a) la L-carnitine de propionyle ou un de ses sels pharmaceutiquement acceptables, et (b) du chitosane ou ses dérivés et ses substances organoleptiques.
