The present invention relates to a method for assessing colorectal cancer (CRC) in vitro comprising measuring in a sample the concentration and/or activity of a seprase polypeptide and/or fragments thereof and of either anti-p53 and/or osteopontin and/or Ferritin, of optionally one or more other marker of CRC, and using the combined measurement result in the assessment of CRC. Furthermore, it especially relates to a method for assessing CRC from a liquid sample, derived from an individual by measuring seprase and at least anti-p53, Ferritin and/or osteopontin in said sample. The method according to the present invention can, e.g., be used in the early detection of cancer by screening of asymptomatic individuals or in the surveillance of patients who undergo surgery.
La présente invention porte sur un procédé pour évaluer un cancer colorectal (CRC) in vitro, comprenant la mesure, dans un échantillon, de la concentration et/ou de l'activité d'un polypeptide seprase et/ou de fragments de celui-ci et de l'un ou l'autre de anti-p53 et/ou l'ostéopontine et/ou la ferritine, et facultativement d'un ou plusieurs autres marqueurs du CRC, et l'utilisation du résultat de mesure combiné dans l'évaluation du CRC. De plus, l'invention porte spécifiquement sur un procédé pour évaluer le CRC à partir d'un échantillon liquide, issu d'un individu, par mesure de seprase et d'au moins l'un parmi anti-p53, la ferritine et/ou l'ostéopontine dans ledit échantillon. Le procédé selon la présente invention peut, par exemple, être utilisé dans la détection précoce du cancer par criblage d'individus asymptomatiques ou dans la surveillance de patients qui subissent une chirurgie.
