L'invention a pour objet un nouveau polypeptide de serrate-2 de l'homme. Ce polypeptide contient la séquence d'acides aminés décrite dans SEQ ID NO:1 dans la liste des séquences. Ce polypeptide exerce un effet régulateur sur la différenciation cellulaire des cellules non différenciées, notamment des cellules souches.
