ABSTRACT A device is herein disclosed that is to be attached near the end of a fishing rod to magnify and make more visible the action of a nibble or bite by a fish. The device commonly called a sensitizer is mounted near the end of the rod by a clamping action. The sensitizer is basically a pivoting lever where the pivoting pin is attached to its mounting means and whose at rest movement is limited by a protrusion from the mounting means. The lever has a line guiding eye at one end and an adjustable counterweight on the other end to vary the nibbling force required to move the lever and to accommodate lures of various weigh-t. A fishing line passes along the rod from a source then passes through the eye of the lever then through the end guiding eye of the rod and is terminated by attachment to a fishing lure.
