A method for installing spine-stabilization components comprises directing a long flexible tool (100) through a sublaminar space of a human spine vertebrae inside the spinal canal. Such tool enters the sublaminar space of a particular one of the human spine vertebrae posteriorly from the intervertebral gap with an adjacent verterbrae. It exits the sublaminar space of the particular one of the human spine vertebrae posteriorly from the intervertebral gap with another opposite-side adjacent vertebrae. A suture (200) is threaded through an eye (102) of the tool. The suture is pulled back through the sublaminar space by withdrawing the tool. A pulled-through part of the suture is attached to a spinal-fixation wire or cable. The suture is then usable as a pilot-line to draw the spinal-fixation wire or cable through the sublaminar space. The spinal-fixation wire or cable is used to anchor a spinal-fixation system.
L'invention concerne une méthode destinée à poser des éléments de stabilisation vertébrale. Cette méthode consiste à diriger un instrument souple allongé (100) à travers un espace sous-laminaire de vertèbres de la colonne vertébrale humaine à l'intérieur du canal rachidien. Cet instrument pénètre dans l'espace sous-laminaire postérieur de l'une des vertèbres de la colonne vertébrale humaine au niveau d'un espace intervertébral voisin d'une vertèbre adjacente. Ledit instrument sort de l'espace sous-laminaire postérieur de cette vertèbre au niveau d'un espace intervertébral voisin d'une autre vertèbre adjacente située sur le côté opposé. Une suture (200) est passée à travers un oeil (102) de cet instrument. Cette suture est tirée en retour à travers l'espace sous-laminaire par retrait dudit instrument. Une partie tirée de la suture est attachée à un fil ou à un câble de fixation vertébrale. Cette suture peut alors être utilisée comme "ligne pilote" pour tirer le fil ou le câble de fixation vertébrale à travers l'espace sous-laminaire, ce fil ou ce câble de fixation vertébrale permettant l'ancrage d'un système de fixation vertébrale.
