The present invention is directed to unglycosylated, prokaryotically-expressed MHC polypeptides, methods of producing these polypeptides, and complexes consisting essentially of am isolated MHC component and an antigenic peptide associated with the antigen binding site of the MHC component. These complexes are useful in treating deleterious immune responses, such as autoimmunity.

L'invention concerne des polypeptides du complexe majeur d'histocompatibilité non glycosylés et exprimés dans des procaryotes, des procédés de préparation desdits polypeptides, ainsi que des complexes constitués essentiellement d'un constituant isolé du CMH et d'un peptide antigénique associé au site de fixation d'antigène du constituant du CMH. Lesdits complexes sont utiles dans le traitement de réactions immunes délétères, telles que l'autoimmunité.
