A new hair treatment device is provided for providing lift at the root portion of the hair near the scalp to thereby create volume and body to otherwise limp or flat hair An embodiment of such a device includes first and second arms A pivot movably joining the arms about the pivot is provided wherein each arm includes a hair-engaging surface A heat source is provided for at least one of the hair-engaging surfaces Each hair-engaging surface has a width suitable for treating a portion of the hair proximate the head, wherein by treating a portion of hair near the scalp, it provides lift and body to the head of hair
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de traitement des cheveux novateur conçu pour relever la partie de racine des cheveux à proximité du cuir chevelu pour ainsi créer du volume et donner du corps à des cheveux qui seraient sinon affaissés ou plats. Un mode de réalisation d'un tel dispositif comprend des premier et second bras. Un pivot joint de façon mobile les bras autour du pivot, chaque bras comprenant une surface entrant en contact avec les cheveux. Une source de chaleur est prévue au moins pour l'une des surfaces entrant en contact avec les cheveux. Chaque surface entrant en contact avec les cheveux a une largeur adaptée pour traiter une partie des cheveux à proximité de la tête, le traitement d'une partie des cheveux à proximité du cuir chevelu permettant de relever et de donner du corps aux cheveux. Un procédé pour relever et donner du corps aux cheveux à l'aide d'un instrument de frisage des cheveux comprend les étapes de sélection de cheveux pour les traiter; et d'utilisation de l'instrument pour traiter au moins une partie des cheveux sélectionnés à proximité des racines des cheveux.
