A compound of the formula (I): R1-NH-X-Y-Z (I) wherein R1 is acyl; X is a bivalent residue derived from optionally substituted thiazole; Y is a bond, lower alkylene or -COHN-; and Z is a groupe of the formulae (II) or (III) wherein R2 is a specified substituent or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof useful as a vascular adhesion protein-1 (VAP-1) inhibitor for preventing or treating a VAP-1associated disease, especially macular edema.

La présente invention a trait à un composé de formule (I) : R?1¿-NH-X-Y-Z (I), dans laquelle R?1¿ est acyle ; X est un résidu bivalent dérivé de thiazole éventuellement substitué ; Y est une liaison, alcoylène inférieur ou COHN- ; et Z est un groupe de formules (II) ou (III) dans laquelle R?2¿ est un substituant déterminé ou un sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable dudit composé en tant qu'inhibiteur de la protéine-1 d'adhérence vasculaire (VAP-1) pour la prévention et le traitement d'une maladie associée à la protéine-1 d'adhérence vasculaire (VAP-1), notamment l'oedème maculaire.
