A video camera (12) mounted on eyewear (32) worn by a shooter (30) produces displayed images used by the shooter in aiming the firearm. The displayed image, rather than a direct view of a target is used in aiming the firearm. These images may be subsequently viewed by the shooter or an instructor from videotape (94). A viewer of the displayed image is able to see the aiming as the shooter actually sees it, and correlates it with success or failure in hitting a target.
