A mixing device which comprises a hollow cylinder which has an opening at one end, a lid which is engageable with the cylinder to close the opening. A baffle which inwardly extends from the cylindrical wall of the drum. The baffle being constructed so that upon rotation. of the drum about its longitudinal axis and with the longitudinal axis substantially horizontal in use, the baffle or baffles will cause the material within the drum to tumble and move in a direction generally towards an end of the cylinder. The cylinder is sized so as to be manually rotatable about the longitudinal axis.
