A method and apparatus for facilitating re-entry of the lateral by coil tubing which avoids hunt and find methods. A guide hung from the coil tubing is provided with an orientation mechanism such that said guide will properly orient with the original whipstock packer, thus providing a kick off surface for the coil tubing in the desired direction of the lateral.
Un procédé et un appareil destiné à faciliter la rentrée d'un tube spiralé dans des puits latéraux évite les procédés de recherche à tâtonnement. Un guide suspendu au tube spiralé présente un mécanisme d'orientation tel que ledit guide s'oriente correctement avec le dispositif d'étanchéité du sifflet déviateur d'origine, fournissant ainsi une surface de déviation au tube spiralé dans la direction voulue du puits latéral.
