The invention relates to an absorbent, comprising an aqueous solution (A) of at least one amino acid salt of the formula (I), wherein R1 and R2 independently from each other represent alkyl or hydroxyalkyl, R is hydrogen, alkyl or hydroxyalkyl, or a group R together with R1 is alkylene, M is an alkali metal, and n an integer from 1 to 6, and (B) of at least one primary alkanolamine, which is substantially free of inorganic alkaline salts. The absorbent is used in a method for removing carbon dioxide from a gas flow, particularly combustion exhaust gases. Preferred amino acid salts (A) are N,N-dimethylamino acetic acid potassium salt, N,N-diethylamino acetic acid potassium salt and N-ethyl-N-methylamino acetic acid-potassium salt. Preferred alkanolamines (B) are 2-aminoethanol, 3-aminopropanol, 4-aminobutanol, 2-aminobutanol, 5-aminopentanol, 2-aminopentanol and 2-(2-aminoethoxy)ethanol.
L'invention concerne un agent absorbant comprenant une solution aqueuse (A) d'au moins un sel d'acide aminé de la formule (I), dans laquelle R1 et R2, indépendamment l'un de l'autre, représentent un groupe alkyle ou hydroxyalkyle, R représente un atome d'hydrogène, un alkyle ou un hydroxyalkyle, ou dans laquelle un radical R représente conjointement avec un radical R1 un groupe alkylène, M représente un métal alcalin et n représente un nombre entier de 1 à 6, et (B) d'au moins une alcanolamine primaire qui est sensiblement exempte de sels basiques inorganiques. L'agent absorbant est utilisé dans un procédé pour l'élimination du dioxyde de carbone à partir d'un courant gazeux, en particulier de gaz sortants de combustion. Des sels d'acides aminés (A) préférés sont le sel de potassium de l'acide N,N-diméthylaminoacétique, le sel de potassium de l'acide N,N-diéthylaminoacétique et le sel de potassium de l'acide N-éthyl-N-méthylaminoacétique. Des alcanolamines (B) préférées sont le 2-aminoéthanol, le 3-aminopropanol, le 4-aminobutanol, le 2-aminobutanol, le 5-aminopentanol, le 2-aminopentanol et le 2-(2-aminoéthoxy)éthanol.
