Disclosed is a method for heating a roller that is used for producing and/or refining a web of material, particularly a paper web or cardboard web. According to said method, the heat required for heating the roller is generated at least in part within the roller by burning a combustible material at least in some areas of the roller with the aid of air or oxygen. Also disclosed is a corresponding heatable roller.

L'invention concerne un procédé de chauffage d'un rouleau utilisé pour la production et/ou le traitement d'une bande de matériau, en particulier d'une bande de papier ou de carton. Selon ledit procédé, la chaleur nécessaire pour chauffer le rouleau est générée au moins partiellement dans ledit rouleau, cela par le fait que, dans ce dernier, au moins dans une zone, on fait en sorte qu'il se produise une combustion catalytique d'un combustible avec de l'air ou de l'oxygène. L'invention concerne en outre un rouleau chauffable correspondant.
