The invention concerns an equipment and a method in handling of doctor blades for a paper/board machine. The doctor blade (T) will be placed against the face of a roll in the paper/board machine so as to keep said face clean and to service said face. A doctor blade blank (T) is taken from a doctor blade roll (10a1, 10a2, 10a3 ...), i.e. from a reel. The equipment comprises a cut-off device (14a1, 14a2 ...) for cutting off the doctor blade material to the desired pull-out or blade length.

L'invention concerne un équipement et un procédé de manipulation de lames de racloir destinées à une machine à papier/carton. On place la lame de racloir (T) contre la surface d'un rouleau dans une machine à papier/carton de façon à garder cette surface propre et permettre sa maintenance. On prend une ébauche de lame de racloir (T) dans une bande enroulée de lames de racloir (10a¿1?, 10a¿2?, 10a¿3? ...) formant une bobine. Cet équipement comporte un dispositif de coupe (14a¿1?, 14a¿2? ...) destiné à couper le matériau de lame de racloir à la longueur de coupe ou de lame voulus.
