The invention relates to radiotherapy with somatostatin-derived peptides labeled with medically useful metal ions. The invention in particular provides for methods and reagents for labeling somatotstatin-derived peptides with perrhanate, in which a solution including somatostatin-derived peptide analogue containing at least one disulfide bond is provided, the solution is reacted with stannous ions and with a radioisotope, wherein the stannous ions are sufficient to substantially reduce the disulfide bonds of the peptide and the radioisotope, and the radiolabeled somatostatin-derived peptide analogue recovered. Also provided are methods for regional administration of radiolabeled somatostatin-derived peptides, methods for enhanced regional retention of radiolabeled somatostatin-derived peptides, methods for treatment of arthritis using radiolabeled somatostatin-derived peptides, and methods for stabilizing radiolabeled somatostatin-derived peptides.
L'invention se rapporte à une radiothérapie s'effectuant à l'aide de peptides dérivés de la somatostatine marqués avec des ions métalliques s'utilisant en médecine. Cette invention se rapporte notamment à des procédés et à des réactifs permettant de marquer les peptides dérivés de la somatostatine avec du perrhénate, et mettant en oeuvre une solution renfermant un analogue des peptides dérivés de la somatostatine qui contient au moins une liaison disulfure, cette solution étant mise à réagir avec des ions stanneux et avec un radioisotope. Les ions stanneux sont suffisants pour réduire sensiblement les liaisons disulfure du peptide et le radioisotope, ainsi que l'analogue radiomarqué des peptides dérivés de la somatostatine récupéré. L'invention se rapporte également à des procédés d'administration locale de peptides radiomarqués dérivés de la somatostatine, à des procédés visant à accroître la rétention locale des peptides radiomarqués dérivés de la somatostatine, à des procédés de traitement de l'arthrite au moyen des peptides radiomarqués dérivés de la somatostatine et à des procédés de stabilisation des peptides radiomarqués dérivés de la somatostatine.
