The invention concerns a DNA sequence, regulating element in 5' for expressing a heterologous gene in a monocotyledon plant cell, characterised in that it comprises in the transcriptional direction a first DNA sequence, functional fragment of the maize H3C4 promoter, and a second DNA sequence, functional fragment of the rice first actin intron sequence. The invention also concerns a chimeric gene comprising said DNA sequence and the plants transformed with said gene.

La présente invention concerne une séquence d'ADN, élément de régulation en 5' permettant l'expression d'un gène hétérologue dans une cellule végétale de plante monocotylédone, caractérisée en ce qu'elle comprend dans le sens de la transcription une première séquence d'ADN, fragment fonctionnel de la séquence du promoteur H3C4 de maïs, et une deuxième séquence d'ADN, fragment fonctionnel de la séquence du premier intron de l'actine de riz. L'invention concerne également un gène chimère comprenant la dite séquence d'ADN et les plantes transformées avec ledit gène.
