F-5673 THERMALLY STABLE NOBLE METAL-CONTAINING ZEOLITE CATALYST ABSTRACT A zeolite catalyst composition having increased resistance to agglomeration and/or migration of its noble metal component at high temperatures and a method for preparing the catalyst composition are disclosed. The zeolite catalyst composition contains a non-framework multivalent metal oxide to stabilize the noble metal. The multivalent metal oxide, such as alumina, can be introduced into the zeolite component by diffusion, impregnation, ion-exchange, and/or calcination.
