A system and method is provided for minimizing lost circulation associated with the operation of a subterranean reservoir. The system includes one or more sources, such as earth modeling and fracture analysis tools, for providing data repre-sentative of a fracture formation in the reservoir, and a computer processor in communication with the data sources for determin-ing an appropriate blend of lost circulation material products for application to the fracture formation. The computer processor is programmed with computer readable code for selecting a plurality of candidate products for application to the fracture formation, and for mathematically determining an optimized blend of the selected products. By applying the optimized blend, material and la-bor costs associated with well operation can be significantly reduced.
L'invention concerne un système et un procédé pour réduire la perte de circulation associée au fonctionnement d'un réservoir souterrain. Le système comprend une ou plusieurs sources, telles que des outils de modelage de terrain et d'analyse des fractures afin de fournir des données représentatives d'une formation de fracture dans le réservoir, et un processeur d'ordinateur en communication avec les sources de données pour déterminer un mélange approprié des produits de matériau de perte de circulation en vue d'une application à la formation de fracture.
