A system for providing ground location messages to an aircraft equipped with a Marker receiver, comprising a plurality of message transmitting devices arranged at different locations, each message transmitting device comprising: a radio transmitter (81, 82) operating at standard Marker Beacon frequency and connected to antenna means arranged to radiate a signal within a predetermined area at the location; message storage means (76, 77) connected to the transmitter for storing a voice message to be transmitted thereby; and detector means (72) for detecting the presence of an aircraft within said predetermined area and for actuating the transmitter to transmit the voice message in response to detection of an aircraft.
La présente invention concerne un système permettant de fournir des messages de position de sol à un avion équipé d'un récepteur radioborne, comprenant une pluralité dispositifs de transmission de messages disposés à différents endroits, chaque dispositif de transmission de messages comportant: un émetteur radio (81, 82) fonctionnant à une fréquence de radioborne standard et connecté à une antenne conçue pour rayonner un signal dans une zone prédéterminée de la position; une mémoire de messages (76, 77) connectée à l'émetteur pour mémoriser un message vocal devant être transmis; et un détecteur (72) pour détecter la présence d'un avion dans ladite zone prédéterminée et pour actionner l'émetteur pour qu'il transmette le message vocal lorsqu'un avion est détecté.
