DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SCREENING TELEPHONE CALLS Abstract of the Disclosure A device and method are disclosed for screening incoming telephone calls for use with existing telephone sets in individual homes or offices to provide the user with the option of answering all calls or only those calls the user needs or wants. The device provides circuitry for identifying, by selected coded indicia, calling parties in possession of matching security codes allowing the call from such party to be put through, and a speech processor for message delivery to callers. The device is easily connected with the user's telephone, can be turned on and off at the user's discretion, is compact and self-contained, and easily programmable and operable.
