A pre-cast cobblestone (10) is comprised of a concrete body (11) of substantially rectangular outline and having a top and bottom wall (13-14) and opposed side walls (15). The top wall (13) is embossed and the side walls (15) have longitudinally shaped flat side surfaces (15'). At least two of the side walls have spaced-apart protruding sections (16-17, 18-19) of irregular transverse cross-section which are aligned with straight intersecting outer parallel axes (12-12') of the side walls. The side walls (15) also have recessed sections (19) of irregular transverse cross-section defined between the protruding sections. When the cobblestones (10) are laid on a support surface in substantially straight aligned relationship to define a pavement (22), they are offset end-to-end and irregularly interlocked by some of the protruding sections (16, 17, 18, 19) of some of the cobblestones entering into the irregular recessed sections (19) of other of the cobblestones to prevent shifting of the cobblestones in the pavement (22).
Le pavé manufacturé (10) consiste en un corps en béton (11) plus ou moins rectangulaire et comporte un côté supérieur et un côté inférieur (13-14) et des côtés latéraux opposés (15). Le côté supérieur (13) est en relief, et les côtés latéraux (15) ont des surfaces en méplat formées longitudinalement (15'). Au moins deux des côtés latéraux présentent des sections saillantes espacées (16-17, 18-19), de coupe transversale irrégulière, alignées sur des axes parallèles extérieurs qui s'entrecroisent à angle droit (12-12') sur les côtés latéraux. Les côtés latéraux (15) présentent également des sections en creux (19), de coupe transversale irrégulière, délimitées entre les sections saillantes. Lorsque les pavés (10) sont déposés sensiblement en ligne droite sur une surface d'appui pour former un pavage (22), ils sont décalés bout à bout et emboîtés de façon irrégulière grâce à certaines sections saillantes (16, 17, 18, 19) de certains pavés, lesquelles s'emboîtent dans les sections en creux irrégulières (19) d'autres pavés afin d'empêcher le déplacement des pavés dans le pavage (22).
