An article of footwear is constructed to dynamically provide width adjustment by cooperative expansion and contraction of a longitudinal split midsole with an expansion element integrated with an outsole that allows the midsole to expand from a narrow width to a wider width. The upper of the shoe has a corresponding section that can expand to a similar degree as the midsole and outsole to enable the volume of the upper to increase proportionally to the width of the sole.
L'invention concerne un article de chaussure construit afin de permettre un ajustement dynamique de largeur par expansion et contraction coopératives d'une semelle intercalaire fendue longitudinalement présentant un élément d'expansion intégré à une semelle d'usure qui permet à la semelle intercalaire de s'élargir d'une largeur étroite à une largeur plus importante. La tige de la chaussure présente une section correspondante qui peut s'élargir jusqu'à un degré semblable à la semelle intercalaire et à la semelle d'usure afin de permettre au volume de la tige d'augmenter proportionnellement à la largeur de la semelle.
