A fiducial (400) may include one or more protuberances (408) configured to engage one or more slots (806) in a needle of the system. The needle (800) may be configured to deliver a plurality of fiducials (400) to a target location in serial fashion, one at a time. In certain embodiments, echogenic placement of fiducials (400) may present certain advantages.
