The present invention is a novel development of the power producing wind turbine in which a plurality of inlet cells are used to channel airflow through a matching venturi to a turbine. The cells are shaped to maximize airflow through the system. The structure may be directional (ie, harvesting wind from a specific sector of the compass) or omnidirectional (harvesting wind from any direction) depending on the specifics of the installation site. The underside of the structure forms a venturi which reduces backpressure on the turbine and enchances throughput of the system. The system geometry is variable to allow it to operate at maximum power over a wide range of wind speeds.
