The invention refers to a system and a process for the measure and collection of consumables consumption and performance data to build a reliable, real-time database and to monitor the consumption and performance of a consumable tool through its life cycle. A system according to the invention comprises a) first storage means to store data concerning the consumables; b) means to capture the performance data; c) second storage means to store performance data during operation of the consumable when is mounted on a machine; d) means to transfer in real-time the performance data to the said second storage means; e) process means to assess the performance of the tool and on the basis of the said assessment to instruct or not the withdrawal of the tool; and output means to deliver the said instruction to a user of the system. A process according to the invention, comprises the following steps: a) capture performance data during operation of the tool when the tool is mounted on a machine; b) transfer in real- time the performance data to the management system; c) assess the performance of the tool; d) on the basis of said assessment instruct or not the withdrawal of the tool; and e) deliver the instruction to withdraw the tool to the user via output means.
L'invention porte sur un système et sur un procédé pour la mesure et la collecte de données de consommation et de performance de consommables pour construire une base de données en temps réel fiable et pour surveiller la consommation et la performance d'un outil consommable dans tout son cycle de vie. Un système selon l'invention comprend a) un premier moyen de stockage pour stocker des données concernant les consommables; b) un moyen pour capturer les données de performance; c) un second moyen de stockage pour stocker des données de performance durant le fonctionnement du consommable lorsqu'il est monté sur une machine; d) un moyen pour transférer en temps réel les données de performance audit second moyen de stockage; e) un moyen de traitement pour évaluer la performance de l'outil et, sur la base de ladite évaluation, pour donner ou non une instruction de retrait de l'outil; et un moyen de sortie pour acheminer ladite instruction à un utilisateur du système. Un procédé selon l'invention comprend les étapes suivantes consistant à : a) capturer des données de performance durant le fonctionnement de l'outil lorsque l'outil est monté sur une machine; b) transférer en temps réel les données de performance vers le système de gestion; c) évaluer la performance de l'outil; d) sur la base de ladite évaluation, donner ou non une instruction de retrait de l'outil; et e) acheminer l'instruction de retrait de l'outil à l'utilisateur par le moyen de sortie.
