The present invention relates i.a. to Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Viruses that are not capable of expressing a functional SH-protein and/or G-protein due to a mutation in the genes encoding the said proteins. Furthermore, the invention relates to vaccines based upon such Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Viruses and to methods for the preparation of such vaccines. Also the invention relates to diagnostic test kits for discriminating wild-type Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Viruses from Bovine Respiratory Syncytial Viruses according to the invention and to methods for the discrimination between those viruses.
La présente invention concerne entre autres les virus syncytiaux respiratoires bovins, qui ne peuvent pas exprimer une protéine-SH et/ou une protéine-G fonctionnelle à cause d'une mutation dans les gènes codant lesdites protéines. De plus, l'invention concerne des vaccins reposant sur de tels virus syncytiaux respiratoires bovins et des procédés pour la préparation de tels vaccins. L'invention concerne également des matériels de tests diagnostiques pour la distinction, selon l'invention, des virus syncytiaux respiratoires bovins de type sauvage des virus syncytiaux respiratoires bovins, et des procédés de distinction de ces virus.
