The present invention provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising an allosteric adenosine A-i receptor enhancer, such as T-62, in an oral dosage form and processes for the manufacture of such compositions and dosage forms. In another aspect, the present invention relates to a method of employing such dosage forms for the treatment of pain, including acute pain, e.g., postoperative pain, chronic pain, inflammatory pain, neuropathic pain and pain associated with migraine.
